Ethics
We believe the way most social apps make money is fundamentally hostile to the people who use them. Here's how we're different.
You are the customer, not the product
Most apps are free because you are what's being sold — your attention to advertisers, your data to brokers. Their incentive is to keep you scrolling, not to help you meet anyone.
We charge $5/month. That's the whole business model. Our incentive is to be useful enough that you keep paying, which means actually helping you meet people.
No dark patterns
- No notification badges designed to pull you back in
- No infinite scroll to trap your attention
- No "someone liked you!" teasers behind a paywall
- No algorithmic feed optimized for engagement over connection
- No read receipts weaponized into social anxiety
- No artificial scarcity ("only 3 likes left today!")
No manufactured loneliness
The incumbent dating apps have a structural problem: if you find a partner, you stop paying them. Their best customer is someone who stays single and hopeful forever. Our best customer is someone who meets people so often that the scheduling tool stays useful. Our success requires your success.
Transparency
We will never sell your data. We will never take venture capital that pressures us to compromise these principles. If we ever can't sustain the business on subscription revenue alone, we'll tell you before we change anything.
If you think we're falling short of these commitments, tell us.
